Opticonova serija vgradnih čitalniških modulov NLV vključuje kompaktne imager in laserske čitalnike z možnostjo fiksne pritrditve. Čitalniški moduli, ki so izdelani na Japonskem in jih v svoje naprave vgrajujejo tudi drugi proizvajalci (npr. Symbol / Motorola / Zebra), so namenjeni vgradnji v naprave drugih proizvajalcev (OEM), pogosto pa se zanje odločajo tudi proizvodna podjetja za zajem podatkov direktno s proizvodnih linij. Na voljo je več različic čitalnikov: osnovni laseski NLV-1001 z RS232 vmesnikom ali USB priklopom, ki omogoča tudi emulacijo priklopa preko tipkovnice ali serijske vtičnice (odvisno od modela) in 2D modul NLV-3101, ki podatke zajema s kamero ločljivosti 752 x 480 pik.
